Investment Banking Analyst Experiences the Serene Peace of Her Heart Exploding After Fourth Straight All Nighter

After four straight days of pushing hard towards a made-up deadline, Kayla Eberle’s heart exploded at approximately 4:22AM, sending her into investment banking nirvana.

“I was next to her when it happened.” Recalled 1st year analyst Graham Tyler. “She was sipping her 32nd coffee of the day when she suddenly stopped arranging logos of the healthcare services space. Her body then jolted as though she had been electrocuted. I am sorry for crying, but I am so happy she can rest now.”

“The comments I sent her last night were fairly straightforward.” Said Lance Krum, Retail MD for the investment bank. “Just price update the model and make some minor formatting edits. Regardless, I’m honored to have helped this bright young woman find eternal serenity!”

“Again!?” said Matt Brown, VP of Retail investment banking when he was told Eberle’s heart exploded. “Why do my analysts always reach pure bliss and not me??”

“Am I scared about my heart exploding?” laughed Columbia sophomore Derek Edwards during his university’s investment banking club meeting. “If you don’t want to risk death on a weekly basis, why would you even recruit for IB??”

At a recent Himalayan networking event, Business Outsider learned that the Dali Lama called Kayla Eberle’s path to enlightenment “non-traditional, but an inspirational lesson for us all”.
